RE: OFFICIAL INFORMATION ON STUDENTS WHO ARE AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT
With reference to the above heading,
I am hereby informing you the current, serious and tremendous situation which is taking place here at the University. Soon after being elected as DARUSO president there has existed some opposition groups which actually intend to impeach my regime starting with my Prime Minister. Some of them were my contestants in DARUSO presidential post but who were screened out.
Prior to last Saturday 31st May, 2014, they had a meeting in which the Agenda no 1 was what is to be done in order to ensure that the government budget does not succeed. In doing so, Chairpersons of Colleges, Schools and Institutes have played a decisive role as they have three USRC members who are their appointees. Essentially they agreed that since the budget states that only one person has to remain during the long vocation from such colleges instead of three people and that basing on the financial position of the government, it is not safe to provide communication allowance to USRC members and additional allowances to chairpersons and secretaries of halls of residence, they arranged to reject the budget no matter how good it was. Having managed to ensure the budget does not pass, not only did they congratulate each other for what they have done but they have been organizing on how to ensure that the next USRC meeting results into the same rejection of the budget and consequently voting out the Prime Minister.
However, I understand that wrong information about the incumbent DARUSO president has been spread wide and broad to the extent that I am seen as a threat to party activities, the truth of which I strongly disagree. And I have been disappointed by the fact that while I am taking more efforts to ensure that the university runs in peace and that everything is well, some students as I have seriously mentioned them above are trying their best to ensure that my government is a total failure. I have been also told as these groups are saying that your office and the office of the dean of students is not in my favour the truth of which I seriously disagree.
It was my advice to the office of the dean of students that it could have been better if her office would have announced that the budget has been approved basing on the conflicting statements of the current Speaker of USRC who was also not happy with the fact that I did not include the said communication allowance for the USRC members. This will remove the planned sabotage. However, in order to ensure that all is well, I have consented so that we may have the said USRC meeting in which I have added all the recommendations they want namely;
(a) 250/= Tshs communication allowance for all USRC members per day for all the days of their leadership.
(b) 20,000/= Tshs for all chairpersons and secretaries of halls of residence and blocks for allowances
(c) Retaining three persons (chairperson, secretary general and the Ex-Com Academic) from each School, College and Institute of the University during the long vocation.
I have decided to include these so that the budget may pass even though as we talked yesterday that this cannot be accepted as it is embezzlement of DARUSO funds of which I strongly agree with.
In addition to that, the following ministers in my cabinet have played a very important role in ensuring that the budget fails to pass because the money they expected to get was not given to them or included in their budget. And I therefore need your advice on this since everything that I discuss in the cabinet these persons or any of them talks each and everything to USRC members.
(a) Kinangu Khaiki- minister for loans
(b) William Charles-Deputy Minister for loans
(c) Happy Masue-Deputy minister for Education
(d) Anania Christopher-Deputy minister for Accommodation
I am hereby requesting your attention and concern against these students as well as taking strict and disciplinary administrative measures and warnings against their mission basing on the fact that on 14th June 2014 we are going to have another USRC meeting for discussing the budget. They are now planning to reject it again as well as impeaching The Prime Minister. And this is contrary to the principles of peace, development and harmony of which this university stands for. Bellow I have attached the names of the most forerunners of the mission.
